For millenia, the sky and the heavens have been a source of inspiration and wonder for humanity. When gazing at a star-filled sky, we realize how small we are, while at the same time experiencing ourselves as connected to the vastness of the Universe (Uni-verse=one song or tone.) Many gods and goddesses have been assigned to the sky, and the ancients aligned their sacred monuments with the movements of the stars, sun, and moon. This is because we intuitively know that we have a reciprocal relationship with the Universe. On a practical level, stars have long been navigational guides, the moon affects the tides, the Earth's position in relation to the sun determines our seasons, and the systems of astronomy and astrology continue to evolve.
The Skye Institute draws its inspiration from this ancient Universal connection, to enhance and bless our relationships with ourselves, each other, and the Earth.

REIKI AND ENERGY HEALING
 
Eric has studied Reiki with some of the world's foremost teachers, including William Lee Rand & Laurelle Shanti Gaia of the International Center for Reiki Training. He completed their advanced course of study for Reiki teachers, & was a Center Licensed Teacher. Eric began his Reiki training in 1997, and has completed the "Master" Levels in Usui-based Reiki, Karuna Reiki®*, and Shamballa Reiki. He has been teaching since 1999, and prefers the term teacher, not Master.Usui called the techer level Shinpiden, meaning Mystery Teaching.
 
REIKI AND ENERGY HEALING LEVEL 1 
 
This class could also be called "Energy Healing 101," as it presents an overview of healing theories & techniques. Explore the history of Reiki, uses for Reiki, be attuned to the First Degree Usui Reiki symbol, and practice giving Reiki to yourself & others. In addition, an easy to learn, meridian-based, self care routine will be taught. Certificate from the Skye Institute included, Reiki manual optional.
 
REIKI AND ENERGY HEALING LEVEL 2
 
Prerequisite: Reiki 1 with any teacher.
Expand your use of Reiki with attunement to the mental-emotional and distance symbols. Learn to use Reiki for changing habits,manifesting goals, ceative projects, personal or business relationships, and distance healing for people, places, and events in the past, present, or future! And of course, enjoy giving and receiving Reiki sessions.Certificate from the Skye Institute, manual optional.
 
REIKI AND ENERGY HEALING LEVEL 3
 
Prerequisite: Reiki 1 & 2 with any teacher.
Be attuned to the Usui Master symbol, and learn powerful Reiki techniques developed by William Rand, president of the International Center for Reiki Training, including: Reiki symbols meditation for healing and manifesting, Reiki moving meditation, aura clearing to remove physical or energetic blocks, and creating a crystal grid to send continuous Reiki to people, places, or events. Manual from the International Center for Reiki Training, and certificate from the Skye Institute included.
 
REIKI AND ENERGY HEALING TEACHER TRAINING
 
Prerequisite: Reiki 1, 2, and 3 . This class is sometimes offered with level 3 and Teacher Training together.
Be attuned to Master symbols for passing attunements, and learn to perform attunements for all levels of Reiki, including Teacher. Also included is instruction in giving the "healing attunement," developed by William Rand. This level is called "Master Teacher" in the west. Usui called this level Shinpiden, meaning Mystery Teaching. Manual from the International Center for Reiki Training (Rand), and certificate from the Skye Institute included.
 
CRYSTAL MERIDIAN REIKI 
 
Prerequisite: Reiki 1 & 2 with any teacher
Developed  by Eric over the past couple of  years, this technique combines three powerful modalities: Reiki, crystalwork, and meridians. This class includes attunement to  Reiki symbols in the Shamballa tradition. Eric began practicing this system after participating in a guided journey led by William Rand at the International Reiki Retreat in 2005. One aspect of the journey  was to increase and expand our  healing abilities. After practicing  this technique with colleagues and clients with positive feedback, Eric feels this system is ready to be shared with others. Crystal kit, manual, and certificate from the Skye Institute included.
 
Karuna Reiki®* 
 
Developed by William Rand  of the International Center for Reiki Training, this vibration of Reiki is considered an evolution of Usui-based Reiki. It means the Reiki of Compassion, and is a powerful addition to one's abilities after working with Usui Reiki. Students must have copmpleted Reiki 3 (attuned to Usui Master symbol) before taking any level of Karuna Reiki®*. In order to take Karuna Reiki®* Master, one must have experience as a Usui-based Reiki Teacher (Master.)
 
Eric completed his entire Karuna Reiki®* training   with Laurelle Shanti Gaia, author of "The Book on Karuna Reiki®", and director of Teacher Licensing for the ICRT. He is a Registered  Karuna Reiki®* Master with the ICRT. Upon successful completion of Karuna classes with Eric, students will also be registered with the ICRT, and receive manuals & certificates from the Center.
 
There are four symbols in level 1, four in level 2, and one Karuna Reiki®*  Master symbol. Levels One, Two, and Master may be taken separately, or together for those who are Usui-based Masters. Click here for more information on Karuna Reiki®*.

In this guided journey & ceremony,  Eric leads participants in experiences to activate their personal, inner temple, and to connect with temples all over the world for personal & planetary healing. MUDRAS, MANTRAS, & MEDITATION
 
Mudras are hand positions used in meditation to help attain certain effects & states of consciousness, such as open-heartedness, physical  healing, or enlivening the inner child. Eric was fortunate to learn these mudras directly from Swami Vishwananda, who gave Eric the name Eric(meaning Life Force.)The mudras are powerful, pleasant to practice, and enhance meditation by accessing meridians in the hands.

SPA SECRETS FOR HOME USE
 
Learn to give yourself and your loved ones the Royal Treatment, without paying a King's Ransom! Using all natural products, participants will practice creating and using salt scrubs, aromatherapy, an exfoliating facial scrub, a clay facial masque, and bath salts to take home! All spa supplies included. Please bring a large bath towel & two hand towels.
