For millenia, the sky and the heavens have been a source of inspiration and wonder for humanity. When gazing at a star-filled sky, we realize how small we are, while at the same time experiencing ourselves as connected to the vastness of the Universe (Uni-verse=one song or tone.) Many gods and goddesses have been assigned to the sky, and the ancients aligned their sacred monuments with the movements of the stars, sun, and moon. This is because we intuitively know that we have a reciprocal relationship with the Universe. On a practical level, stars have long been navigational guides, the moon affects the tides, the Earth's position in relation to the sun determines our seasons, and the systems of astronomy and astrology continue to evolve.
The Skye Institute draws its inspiration from this ancient Universal connection, to enhance and bless our relationships with ourselves, each other, and the Earth.

The Skye Institute celebrates diversity, and does not discriminate on the basis of anything. The Skye Institute announces:

The Skye Institute is going on the road to bring its workshops, classes, healing journeys, concerts, and events to you! And we're looking forward to gathering with others in the spirit of  peace, celebration, and healing. We offer a wide range of workshops in Reiki and energy healing, crystalwork, massage instuction,  guided visualization journeys, and meditation. Our classes offer techniques that can be used at home, or professionally for those working in the healthcare field. There's something for everyone! If you'd like to host a class in your home, place of worship, business, or community center, let us know! We'd love to co-create with you! An additional focus of the Institute is to make our programs available to those most in need, and to work with organizations supporting them (see outreach.) The tour will span the United States and  Canada thoughout 2008!
 
Special Guest! Sound Temple Music founder and sacred arts performer Christine Tulis will be joining the tour! Christine weaves the sound of celtic harp with the sacred poetry of Rumi and her own original songs devoted to the Divine. Her intent as a performer and healing artist is to facilitate connection between the spiritual and material worlds for healing, renewal, and inspiration. We are blessed to have her join us!

The mission of the Skye Institute is to provide training in the healing arts for personal and professional applications, to offer healing sessions and act as a referral source for other healers (see links), and to offer classes, workshops, events, and retreats for healing, relaxation, growth, and renewal. The Institute has an additional focus of providing services for under-served populations, and working in cooperation with other private and governmental institutions (see outreach.)
